The Cities and New challenges series, privileging multidisciplinary approaches, brings together the results of research, studies and scientific contributions on the topic of the city and the new challenges-environmental, social and economic-that arise, and to which timely and effective responses must be given.

The historical moment we live in is one of transitions and sudden changes. Particular attention is paid to disciplinary contaminations that offer unprecedented keys to interpreting the changes -whether undergone or planned- affecting the city of the third millennium.
